FAQ's About Your Epsilon Consumer Report

At Epsilon, we believe it is important to provide consumers with clear information about the data available in our marketing databases. You may request a Consumer Report to learn what information about your household is in Epsilon’s databases. If you have questions about the process or how to read this report, the questions and answers below are designed to help guide you.

Why do I have to mail the request form and a check? Isn’t there an online process?

The mail process is designed to ensure security. Since we are matching your name and address to our database, we can be confident that we are mailing the information you requested to your address that you provided.

In addition, by conducting this process through the mail, we feel that more consumers will have an opportunity to request a report. Some consumers may not have, or may not feel comfortable using, credit cards or other methods to submit payment on the internet. We believe that conducting this process through the mail allows the greatest number of consumers access to their reports.

The consumer request form allows for only one first and last name pair. What if I recently changed my last name or use a nickname?

The report can only be generated on one first and last name pair. If you have recently changed your last name, for example you got married, and want to see the data that Epsilon has on both names, you will need to submit a separate form for each name variation. Likewise, if you have nicknames that you use, you will need to submit a separate form for those nicknames, if they are non-traditional nicknames. For traditional nicknames (i.e. William, Bill and Billy), they will likely have been automatically associated by our database.

Why is there a $5 fee?

This is a processing fee to cover report generation, shipping and handling.

If I have recently moved, will there be data about me at my new address?

If you recently moved and request a report with your new address, your report may not show data at your new address if our databases have not yet received this information. However, in a few months, once your information has been through the National Change of Address process through the USPS, you should see data from your old address associated with your new address. If you just moved and would like to request your report, we recommend that you wait a few months for more comprehensive information.

I’ve received a blank report. What does it mean?

It means that we do not have any information associated with your name and address as provided on the request form. Therefore, the report that we generated does not contain any information.

If I’ve already opted out of your databases, will I receive a report?

If you have already opted out, you will receive a blank report because we will not be able to match your name and address to our database.

Does the report show all of the data that Epsilon maintains associated with my name and address?

No. The report is designed to show the types of information that Epsilon collects from our sources. Based on this information we may make inferences that group consumers with similar types of interests together. Because these groupings change, we are unable to report on the modeled and inferred data. For more information on how Epsilon may make inferences and group consumers, please see our Consumer Guide to Direct Marketing.

What if I want to change some information?

We do not enable modification of the information in our databases because we are not the original source of the information. You may opt-out of Epsilon’s marketing databases at any time by sending an email to optout@epsilon.com or by calling 1-888-780-3869.

How long will it take to receive my report?

We are committed to processing Consumer Request Forms promptly, however, due to the volume of requests, it could take several weeks for the report to be returned to you. We appreciate your patience.
