Appending/Enhancement
Beginning an electronic relationship with existing customers using permission-based email addresses can be one of the most cost-efficient and effective uses of marketing budgets, provided it's done correctly and respects the privacy of existing customers. Epsilon is the recognised leader in email appending and has taken an active role in developing industry guidelines for the practice of email appending. In December 2001, Epsilon founded and was appointed Chair of the Association for Interactive Marketing's (AIM's) Council for Responsible Email (CRE) Email Append Committee. In May 2002, Epsilon together with AIM's CRE Email Append Committee, released the first ever "Email Append Best Practices." This document now serves as the foundation for email appending across the industry. Epsilon's own email append policies build upon this foundation to form the industry's most comprehensive policy on email appending, which has made us the premiere provider of email append strategies and services to Fortune 2000 companies. Epsilon is also a published expert on email appending. The DMA Insider Summer 2002 issue featured an Epsilon article regarding email append, entitled "Closing the Database Gap."
