BIGFOOT INTERACTIVE NAMES MICHAEL DELLA PENNA CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
NEW YORK – January 7, 2003 –
Bigfoot Interactive, the leading provider of strategic, ROI-focused email communication solutions and marketing automation technologies, today announced the appointment of Michael Della Penna to the position of Chief Marketing Officer. Della Penna was promoted to the new post from his previous role as Vice President of Marketing.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Della Penna will lead Bigfoot Interactive's strategic marketing, branding, market positioning, lead generation and communications efforts. In addition, he will direct the company's marketing services division that includes the list services group, which provides clients with customer acquisition strategies and tactics, and the creative services group, which encompasses creative strategy, design, copywriting and coding.

Della Penna joined Bigfoot Interactive with an accomplished record in crafting and launching successful integrated marketing, brand and sales programs for leading technology and media companies. Prior to Bigfoot Interactive, he served as Vice President of Strategic Development at CNET Networks, Inc., where he designed key strategic plans to increase revenue and grow key audience segments for the Internet's leading technology destination. Previously, as Vice President of Marketing at ZDNet, Michael created the company's marketing department, built its brand strategy and positioning, and reinvented the site's user experience. Before joining ZDNet, Della Penna held product marketing and direct response marketing positions at CMP, Inc., Cheyenne Software/Computer Associates and Canon USA.
Actively engaged in several industry associations, Della Penna currently is a member of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and serves on the Advisory Board of the Association for Interactive Marketing (AIM), where he also is a key contributor to AIM's Council for Responsible Email (CRE) and various subcommittees, including the CRE Email Append Committee. In 2002 he was recognized in BtoB magazine's Who's Who list of top executives in the category of marketing services, which cited Bigfoot Interactive's successful vertical market strategy to develop and market email communication solutions for specific industries.
