Epsilon works the world

One of the empowering aspects of working at Epsilon is our commitment to work-life balance. We believe that when our people are happy and healthy in their personal lives, they are more present and successful at work.

Our employees mean the world to us, so that’s exactly what we want to give them. In January 2022, Publicis Groupe rolled out its Work Your World program, allowing employees to work anywhere in the world for up to six weeks every year. It’s been a life-changing benefit for those who have chosen the adventure.

The program

Work Your World combines flexibility, opportunity and growth for all people, with health and safety at its core.

It’s a unique benefit that enables employees to explore the world, connect with team members in different countries, and immerse themselves in new cultures and lifestyles. Work Your World also allows employees to house swap or share space at a colleague’s place via the Home Swap Home internal listing platform.

How it works

To begin the process, interested employees first research and choose a destination that they wish to visit, taking things like cost of living, time zone differences, and health and safety into consideration. Once a location is decided upon, the employee initiates the trip in Marcel and their manager is contacted for approval. Finally, if everything is good to go, the employee will complete travel bookings and required authorization.

It’s invigorating to see this program flourish since its launch earlier this year. Let’s see where a few of our Epsilon people have been working their world this year.

Epsilon explores the world

A few well-traveled colleagues gladly shared their experience with us:

Natalie Farsiani – Athens, Greece

"The WYW program is a great company perk that my friends & family are all very jealous of. It allowed me to further immerse myself in the country, explore in city after work and escape the English dreary weather. I loved the experience and I’m already planning my trip for next year!”

Emily Gomperts – Seoul, South Korea

wyw emily“I thought I was dreaming when I first watched the WYW program announcement. This opportunity was the most meaningful, exciting and creative act of employee appreciation by the company. It was refreshing to spend time in such a different part of the world, and to realize how supportive and interested all my colleagues were. Coming from Evergreen, CO (population 8,000) and being immersed in a city of almost 10 million people, I learned more about myself and the world in those 6 weeks than in the several years prior. Truly a profound and amazing experience and I am so grateful.”

Colin Dunn – Buenos Aires, Argentina

wyw colin“I spent 4 weeks between Buenos Aires and Argentinian Patagonia trying to soak in as much of the experience as possible. Between soccer matches, concerts, Tango lessons, museums, nightlife, hiking and just general exploring it was more than I could have ever asked for.

After working remote for the past 2.5 years with Covid I found that the change of being in a different country was no real difference and I was able to be just as productive. I’m so thankful for this program and think that everyone should explore the world in this way!”

Saville Inman – Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica

wyw saville“Big shout out to Publicis for this most innovative Work Your World perk.  Honestly, I would never have considered taking a full 6 weeks to explore the world had Publicis not teed up this great idea. My daughter, Ada, who also works full time remotely, and I pooled our funds and threw a dart that landed on Costa Rica – neither of us had ever been.  We’d do it again in a heartbeat…just need to save up our pennies for the next adventure!”

Amy McCafferyLima, Peru

wyw amy“I traveled to Lima, Peru for six weeks to Work my World! I was able to secure an Airbnb right on the coast. This allowed me to explore the neighborhood and get a real feel for the community. On weekends, I was able to take trips to other parts of the country like Arequipa and Huacachina. I also took a week off and travelled to Cusco to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. All the food I experienced was amazing and I was able to eat at two of the top 10 restaurants in the world. I loved the opportunity to go explore a new place for an extended amount of time and experience a new culture. I am already thinking about where I will go next year!”

Epsilon understands that workplace conditions are different today than they were only two years ago. We love having this benefit with Publicis Groupe and being able to provide our employees the chance to experience a world they would otherwise not see day-to-day in the office.
