A premier spirits brand set out to increase retail sales by reaching verified alcohol shoppers beyond traditional, broad-based targeting. This strategic approach proved highly effective, as actual sales reached over four times the initial projections.

The brand partnered with Epsilon to activate a media campaign using Epsilon's adult beverage data network. With access to verified alcohol shopper audiences across multiple retailers, the brand was able to reach qualified customers wherever they were, well ahead of the purchase moment.

Nearly half the shoppers reached were new-to-brand or lapsed buyers, highlighting the network’s ability to drive incremental household penetration. Closed-loop measurement provided clear visibility into how media exposure translated into retail outcomes.

By engaging verified shoppers earlier in their path to purchase, the campaign significantly outperformed expectations ($478K actual sales versus $109K projected sales), demonstrating the ability to drive meaningful retail impact both online and in-store.
