Analytics excellence takes the front seat at INNOMATION ‘22

Analytics trends. Innovative solutions. Diversity in the workplace. These were some of the compelling themes that were explored at the second edition of INNOMATION ’22, a hybrid analytics summit facilitated by the Epsilon India Analytics Center of Excellence (ACoE) community which had over 150 Epsilon colleagues join on July 19 and 20 this summer.

At Epsilon, we take a data-driven approach to innovating and crafting the best-in-industry solutions, led by AI & machine learning, for our clients and stakeholders. And analytics is an integral pillar of the whole design and architecture of our solution suite. The ACOE at Epsilon India is a group of analytics and data science professionals working in different practices within the organization. They work towards delivering compelling value to multiple business units through consistent, high-quality analytics deliverables, as well as achieving scale efficiencies through centralizing core competencies.

Started last year, INNOMATION was envisaged by the ACOE as a forum in which the analytics and data science community in Epsilon could get a deeper understanding of multiple aspects of analytics – from best practices to addressing challenges, external marketing dynamics to Epsilon’s advanced data analytics capabilities and more.

This year, the two-day conference was kicked off by Ashish Sinha, Epsilon’s MD, India, APAC & MEA. It was a fitting platform for the teams to get together under the same roof to learn, network, collaborate and brainstorm innovative ideas.

inno 2INNOMATION ‘22 was marked by power-packed sessions, deep networking opportunities and innovative projects, bringing to fore Epsilon’s analytics prowess.

At a panel discussion on ‘Diversity in Analytics’ moderated by Divya Paul, Manager-Learning and Development, women leaders from Epsilon’s Analytics team including Antara Arora, Senior Director-Analytics, Soumee Paul, Senior Manager-Client Services Group, and Vinu Viswanath, Senior Director-Strategic Insights, shared perspectives on diversity and inclusion within the analytics community, and Epsilon’s steps towards a more equal, inclusive and equitable workforce.

inno 3Another highlight from the event was an in-depth session on Augmented Analytics by Abhishek Kumar, Director-Data Sciences, Publicis Sapient and Pluralsight Author.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the event, especially the focus on advanced topics like augmented analytics. Epsilon does a tremendous job of creating such avenues to establish one’s skills on a bigger stage. These events also act a great tool to collaborate with other teams and to understand their work and thought process towards different problem statements,” Pradeep Krishnaraj, Director-Analytics, said.

The ACOE teams showcased innovative analytics solutions - crafted by them - which have been instrumental to client success.

Participants also got the opportunity to listen to Epsilon leaders share their inspiring career journeys.

Speaking of her experience, Aishwarya A, Data Scientist, shared, “INNOMATION ‘22 provided us a platform to get to know the wide and diverse network of the Analytics community in Epsilon. Hearing from the leaders about their experiences and some of the turning points in their careers was really inspiring. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I had a lot of takeaways.”

inno 4Other sessions included a panel discussion among the Analytics leaders where they highlighted the opportunities and operational challenges to data science practitioners. And adding a fun element to the entire summit was a quiz which tested the participants’ analytical expertise.

Passion, Accountability and Inclusion, our three core values at Epsilon, shone through during the summit making it a solid success and excellent experience.

As RaviKiran Yanamandra, Director-Analytics, summed it up, “The summit was very well organized and was a melting pot of ideas, perspectives, project showcase and leadership advice. I personally learned a lot from all the events. It was great to be part of the panel discussion event, exchanging ideas with other analytics and data science leaders in Epsilon.”
