Internships, for many, are a first experience of a ‘real job’. There’s excitement and nervousness in equal measure, but what strikingly stands out is the excitement to learn and put skills into practice.
At Epsilon, we have a robust internship program, and each year we invite scores of students to be a part this enriching journey.
This year, beginning in February, we invited 73 interns to Epsilon India for our six-month internship. These bright, young careerists hail from some of the top universities in the country. Over the course of the months as they take on roles across various disciplines, they will get on-the-job experience from working with some of the best in the industry here at Epsilon. They’ll have a welcoming and encouraging space to take up challenges, learn from failure, network with others, hone their professional and leadership skills, and contribute to the team’s success. And, have EPIC fun while at it. It is no surprise that so many of our interns rejoin us as employees upon graduating after the fulfilling experience.
First impressions can often be the most lasting ones. And we wanted to make their first week in office one of the most memorable times of their journey with us.
The onboarding week helped the interns break the ice, discover aspects of our work and culture and showcase their talents. The group shared new ideas and explored Epsilon through a fun treasure hunt activity. With this, a a mini bespoke onboarding model was created to orient the interns to all things Epsilon. The three days were filled with ideas, activities, action, dance and lots of learning.
Because the first day or weeks at a new job can be nerve racking, a buddy is assigned to each intern to help them navigate their way in our organization, literally and figuratively.
“Having a buddy has been extremely beneficial. My buddy got in touch with me a week before the onboarding process. He introduced me to several people when I joined office. He shared his experiences. All this made me feel welcomed and gave me a better idea of the business and the work culture here,” said Rishika Satheesh, a Product Engineering intern.
Satish Madivalar, an intern with the Digital Campaign Solutions team, is raring to go after the fun onboarding week.
“I joined Epsilon through campus placement. It is not just a great place to work but also a great place to learn. The best thing about Epsilon are the people and their attitude, which has impressed me a lot. The energizing sessions and the warm welcome were extremely helpful to connect with people in our on-boarding process. I'm just super excited and ready to start my professional life with Epsilon,” he shared.
It’s not just the interns who get to learn. We love their energy, ideas and fresh perspectives they bring with them. At the end of their internship journey, we hope they feel more confident about the careers they want to pursue, even more passionate about their ambitions, and that this experience enables them to make a smooth transition to the corporate world.

“The 6-month internship provides an opportunity to each individual to grow through structured learning across tech skillsets, business and functional skills and product knowledge. Our interns don’t just help out when needed, they contribute real work to the company’s projects every day!” she added.
