An epic party for Epsilon India New Grads 2023

What could add to, or even top, the excitement of one’s first day at their first job? A pre-welcome party would definitely make the list, we think.

Every year, as part of our Campus Program at Epsilon India, we hire young talent from colleges to join our growing team. Many of the students, who are usually in their final semesters around the time of hiring, also intern with us before joining as full-time employees upon the completion of their course.

And in what has now become somewhat of a tradition, we throw a party for the incoming batch of New Grads a few months ahead of their joining date, to give them a glimpse of the epic life and culture at Epsilon.

This year as the grads prepare to start their careers in August with Epsilon, they attended a party at the Epsilon India office in April. Over 120 New Grads spent the day interacting with leaders and colleagues, participating in fun games and even a rocking band performance.

Welcoming the New Grads, Ashish Sinha, MD, Epsilon APAC & MEA, spoke about our values of Passion, Accountability and Inclusion, and shared his personal experiences from his first job at a time when the ‘coolest tech around was fax’.

While the world has seen staggering technological advancement in the past few decades, Ashish shared some tips he’s picked over his career, which will always be relevant to those starting their careers.

“Identify a mentor. This will help you make better decisions. Build strong relationships with your peers. Collaboration, teamwork, accountability are crucial to getting things done. Take risks, be bold,” he advised the room.

In his interaction with the New Grads, Thirumale Niranjan, SVP, Platform Implementations and Enhancements, said, “When you come here, you will have plenty to learn and grow. And I see many of you succeeding enormously. And when that happens, I will feel proud that in some small way, we were able to help you grow. It’s awesome having you here.”

John Abraham, Manager, Learning and Development, next gave the cohort a quick view of what’s in store for them once they join. This includes a comprehensive onboarding plan, figuring out their functional tracks, and the various learning opportunities they can explore at Epsilon. “While we will have continued technical training, we also want to focus on building a strong foundation for you,” John said.

There was great energy, conversations and laughter all throughout, and special gifts and giveaways to make the day even more memorable for the New Grads. Ending the day on a high note, the young careerists grooved to a zestful performance by artists Shalini Mohan, Hema Nayak and Gomes Alston.

“I had a blast at the campus party. We enjoyed various games and team building activities that strengthened our bond and friendship. The food was amazing, the band rocked the stage, and we ended the day dancing which was a ton of fun,” said Sarthak Sharan, a final semester student who is currently also interning with the People Cloud Loyalty (PCL) team in Epsilon India.

“Fun activities, intellectual interactions, groovy music and a great buffet, all clubbed under one exciting day at Epsilon for us New Grads. Interning at Epsilon over the last few months has been great. We’ve had access to numerous resources and helpful colleagues, and the amount of support that I received is unmatchable. The recent campus grad party was a great boost to our confidence. Thanks for making us feel so important,” said Gauri Kanodia, an intern with the Agency Tech, Loyalty team.
